What is the difference between loaning and giving a campaign money?
Hillary says she has loaned her campaign $5 million. Romney is known to have given his campaign money. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19418002/
What is the difference? Is getting the money back more important to Hillary than the nomination? Does Romney show he believes in himself more than Hillary believes in herself? Is Romney just wealthier than Hillary and can “give” the money?
Finally, can I call the Clinton campaign and “loan” them $200? WIll they pay me back the way Hillary appears to expect to be paid back?

A loan must be paid back. A gift does not need to be.
My five-year-old knew the answer to this question.

She is a shrewd investor as we all know…. Wonder if she will make 7000% overnight like she’s used too?

My guess is it probably has to do with campaign laws.
If she “loans” herself $5 million, that means she can probably reach back into her political war chest and pay herself back if and when her political war chest can cover the loan.
If she “gives” it to herself, then its a gift and she probably couldn’t collect it back.

Bill, I think that the biggest difference here is that Mitt Romney cares about the future of this country and doesn’t care about the money he “gave” to his campaign if it means it will better this country. The money that Hillary “loaned” her campaign is because she cares more about the money and the power than she does this country. I hope this answers your question.
