Oh hell yea!!! Reps are very proud! Come on...
Do you even need to ask this question? Even if you point out the wrong things that the Reps did, they will never admit to it, they will just cover it up and lie about it and at the same time ignore reality.

Meanwhile, they are closely watching their opponents to make a mistake, once they see it, they will cry foul. Hypocrites... (pretty good tactic by the way, play dirty)

If i was a Republican, i will be proud.

Ryan, you need to go back and check YOUR facts. The debate this Friday is between McCain and Obama NOT a VP debate. McCain is doing the right thing by going back to Washington and doing the job he was elected to do.

Obama is completely in the wrong. He has a job to do as well. This shows Obama's complete lack of regard for the taxpayer and the most basic of leadership skills.

P.S. The debate this Friday is supposed to be a foreign policy debate. McCain HAS NO reason to back out of a foreign policy debate. In this area, he has the greatest experience and knowledge. I hope he wipes the floor with Obama and reminds everyone watching that Obama couldn't even be bothered to show up in Congress for us at this most important time. What a coward!

P.P.S. The VP debates are scheduled for October 2.

I find it freaking hilarious that people are repeating the same excuse that Fox News has so conveniently provided: "McCain is putting the country first." Ridiculous!

As the primary debates showed, Obama does very well in the classic debate format and McCain doesn't do as well. That's why McCain wanted those town hall style debates. That's a format in which he performs better. That's also why Obama wasn't too keen on the idea.

As for running from the VP debates, Palin (as her one in-depth television interview has shown) isn't ready to debate. Even to herself, Palin was a surprise pick. She doesn't know her stuff yet, and she hasn't had time to learn. That's why the Republicans (who were all for being tougher on female candidates than male candidates precisely BECAUSE they are female back when Hillary was running) are making hay over the media's treatment of Palin. They're doing their best to keep her name in the headlines (because she's more interesting than McCain) while keeping her out of the spotlight.

A date for rescheduling the debate has not even been discussed. Give a source for this rumor you are trying to start as it has not been mentioned at all on one single news report and I listen to them all.

Are you really that certain the debates are going to go in Obama's favor? They really haven't gone so well the other times Obama was off the teleprompter.

Sample of the debates:

Question: Do you think that chocolate tastes good? Senator Obama, your remarks.

Obama: To preface my answer, I must first distinguish between the qualitative and quantitative concepts of "goodness," first elaborating the potentialities of detriment and deceit within the loaded abstraction, and then depicting my stance within a limited interpretation of the question's bounds. Next we must establish the relativity of the "goodness" to taste, and furthermore expose the inherent nature of chocolate, including the nutritionally deleterious accoutrements intrinsic to the comestible byproduct. Finally, we must distinguish between various varieties - does the questioner intend all forms of chocolate, and does that include white chocolate, of which I am not as fond, though...

Questioner: BEEP - I'm sorry, your time is up. Senator McCain?

McCain: Yes, I think chocolate tastes good. I'd like to take the rest of my time to do my job as a Senator and work on the financial crisis, if you don't mind.

Washington does not need Mccain right now, they have plenty of people to handle this mess, including our President, forget about him? The American people have a right to know what is going on, suspending his campaign, what a joke. At least we know Obama can do two things at once, he said he would, and could. Why not move the debates to Washington, if it's so important for 2 Senators to be there. All Mccain is doing is buying more time, either for himself, or Sarah Palin, since he wants to suspend the debates until the VP debates. Can't people see through this smokescreen?.........Obama\ Biden 08'

So no I am not embarrassed...

He is being a true hero, for trying to save this country from financial crisis.

Please state your source regarding the rescheduling date. I believe you are mistaken or full of crap.

Either way, the debate isn't cancelled yet. Obama says he will be there - the debate is more important to him than being part of a 700 billion dollar decision making process.

McCain - Country First (not campaign)
