How is McCain going to deal with independent expenditures during the campaign?

I’ve really wondered about this one. These 527s have dominated the last several presidential elections. They violate the spirit (and occasionally the letter) of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reforms. How will McCain deal with 527s doing expenditures on his behalf?

I don’t think he can win without them but if he denounces them, he’ll look like a hypocrite.

This is a serious question. I’m curious as to whether people have serious answers as to how he is going to deal with this.
I meant if he doesn’t denounce them

What is the difference between loaning and giving a campaign money?

Hillary says she has loaned her campaign $5 million. Romney is known to have given his campaign money. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19418002/

What is the difference? Is getting the money back more important to Hillary than the nomination? Does Romney show he believes in himself more than Hillary believes in herself? Is Romney just wealthier than Hillary and can “give” the money?

Finally, can I call the Clinton campaign and “loan” them $200? WIll they pay me back the way Hillary appears to expect to be paid back?

How much say does a running mate, have in a campaign?

I realize the Presidential candidate has the final say in anything that goes on during the campaign and is the boss, but does the running mate have any power over their ticket? In my viewpoint, especially since Sarah Palin is being scrutinized so much, it seems that she holds no real decision making power in the campaign, and it seems that Joe Biden has some power, but not much. So how much say does a running mate have in a campaign? My guess is very little.

How will Palin’s daughters pregnancy affect the campaign?

Republicans, for a long time now, have supported teaching children abstinence and have strongly criticized mothers who became pregnant before marriage. Yet they have nominated a woman’s whos own daughter lost her virginity and became pregnant before marriage. Besides looking hypocritical I think it might cost them the catholic vote. What type of impact do you think this revelation will have on the presidential campaign, if any at all?
I appreciate the replies.

Republicans, are you embarrassed by the McCain campaign trying to cancel the VP debates?

Yep, McCain is trying to run. He’s trying to cancel the debate Friday and conveniently reschedule it the day the VP debates are supposed to take place.

Why is the McCain campaign so afraid of a debate on the issues?
