I want to run for the Tennessee State House of Representatives as an independant candidate in 2008. I already have the necessary information regarding nomination petitions, campaign finance, etc. I am looking for a good reference to help me organize everything while keeping costs to a very minimum. Very grassroots oriented.

I have a peer who is currently only seventeen and has been making phone calls for the Hillary Clinton campaign. We live in Kentucky and I believe the law (perhaps national or state, not sure which) is that minors can’t make phone calls for a candidate but I can’t find any legislature online to back this.

Really. In this state, it is illegal for a minor to work under a campaign and be paid for it.

US presidential elections is more exciting than ever. I was wondering if due to some unforeseen circumstance that one of the candidates cannot campaign , what becomes of the election?

How do I campaign for more continental philosophy at my college?

So most colleges in the USA including mine are strictly within the analytical school. Now I realize that they have made some great contributions to logic, but why should philosophy departments be dominated by those who believe that the whole history of philosophy is a bunch of fools. And since there are so few schools in the Phenomonology tradition, its a good way to get recognition for the college.

I’ve seen students advocate for departmental changes based on political issues, so perhaps it could be done over philosophy?
Does anyone have advice on where to start?

For example John Edwards raised about 57 million dollars and quit the campaign after a short time.
